Crafting the Adventure
Author Kim Yost, in the Moroccan“blue city” of Chefchaouen
Kim Yost’s first writing project was the Pumptitude trilogy of motivational books. In them, Kim shared life lessons by telling his own stories of challenge, perseverance, and positivity.
Kim also began a family tradition of keeping a life chest. He loved the idea that holding an item from a life chest recalled precious memories and stories, much like traveling to the past.
He and his writing team used both the Pumptitude lessons and the life chest concept as jumping-off points for the exciting tales that make up the Life Chest Adventure books.
Josh discovers his life chest heritage
Kim appears in the novels as the great-great-grandfather of the main characters, cousins Josh and Bernie. Josh’s journey from troubled teen to a man of integrity and compassion is punctuated with inspiring life lessons from Grandpa Kim’s books, which he discovers in his family’s life chests.
